Intel just released a new version of a BIOS for the D975XBX2.
New Fixes/Features:
Updated processor support.
Fixed a problem where Setup F9 key caused unexpected page movement
at submenu option.
Fixed a missing highlight cursor problem in Setup after pressing
F10 and no response.
Fixed Setup cosmetic issue where garbage characters are printed
outside of string input box.
Fixed F10 boot menu showing two lines of duplicated title.
Added AMT1.0 support for certain SKUs.
Fix POST hang when SATA Controller is set to disable and IDE/ATA
Mode is set to legacy mode.
Fixed issue where certain host adapter cards not functional.
Added support for loading the Microsoft Windows Vista* native TPM
1.2 driver.
Fixed yellow bang in Windows XP* Device Manager for the TPM 1.2
device.
There is also a new Sigmatel audio driver for Vista 32/64. No Audio Studio, DCC or IDU for Vista yet. Heard some people were having problems with it though. |

| thanks for the information.i guess we should not upgrade our bios of the computer if it is working well because if we upgrade with a wrong bios there is a risk of a system failure.i guess an enhanced BIOS usually won't boost your system directly. |
