My AKA curious refers to my innate and still growing curiosity. I think curiosity is an asset in our wish to grow better and more understanding and tolerant with the rest of Mankind.
I happen to be Spanish, born in the beautiful city of Barcelona, in 1925, what allows me to say I’m probably hitting my fourth Youth on my way to my final destination. I say “Youth” for as “Blue Eyes Frankie” used to sing “when you are young at heart you have a head start…” I still live in that gorgeous city.
I said “I happen to be Spanish” because, though I think I was extremely lucky to have been born in Spain, I’m also perfectly conscious that this is no merit of mine… My soul could have easily ended up in the body of a Hindu pariah of the Rajasthan desert and my life would have been quite different.
We are all customers of the s/s cruiser Earth on her long journey through our Universe. Each soul, upon our birth, has been granted to a certain body, located in a certain stateroom within a certain category. So it is just a matter of God’s will, or if you prefer, of luck having ended up where we are. This means that I believe nobody is better than the rest because of their ancestors or because of the place where he/she was born.
If at all, some may claim that are better than others if they are able to understand that being better is not a consequence of their country of origin or of how wealthy their parents were but a direct consequence of their behaviour towards others…
Do not think, please, that I’m a follower of the Hindu philosophy (which I respect very much, though) or so extremely intelligent to come out with the above considerations all by myself. It is just a matter of experience.
Because of my job I have been lucky enough to travel all over the world for well over 50 years. This have allowed me to understand we may have different colors in our skins, have different cultural backgrounds or proceed from entirely different ethnics, but we are still human beings, equal in many ways and, have a heart and feelings, in short, we belong to Mankind. Besides, I have lived for some time in different places like the USA, Portugal, France, the U.K., Italy, French Morocco, Nigeria, Lebanon, and Egypt…

I still have plenty of interests in my life:
My family: 57 years married and still in love. 4 successfully married great sons and 7 even greater grand-sons.
Languages. Can more or less manage in 6 languages and have now started with Mandarin Chinese.
Travelling: once or twice a year my wife and I like to spend some time travelling for the sake of making new acquaintances. People are tremendously interesting.
Debating: My most interesting subjects of debate are Religion, International politics, History, Art, Travelling
Oil painting: when I happily retired, 19 years ago, I started oil painting and I still do it, every now and then.
Literature: I have always been interested in reading as much as I could and though my eyes are no longer what they once were, I still do it. I’m a compulsory book buyer and my problem is that I will not have time enough to read all the books I still have unread. Right now, I am reading 6 different books at the same time, which is ridiculous. My wife joins me in this craze!
Last but not least, and for those that might be interested, I’m a Roman Catholic Christian totally respectful with other people’s beliefs and with all religions; for I’m convinced that my God is the same God for everybody else.

I was very impressed with the details of your introduction.

I have to show great respect to my elders.

I note that you are 5 years older than myself.

There are very many similarities in our lives.

I was actually born in Malta.

I have lived outside Malta for 57 years.

My main occupation was Accountancy ?
What was yours?

I happen to be a Roman Catholic too!!

A place I once visited was Alicante.
It was a really fabulous place.
