A Three-Way Plan

Questions:

1. A popular TV series back in the '50s was "I Led Three Lives," which was based on an autobiography written by Herbert A. Philbrick. What were the three lives Philbrick "lived"?

2. What's wrong with some advertisement of "pizza pie"?

3. What popular singing group got its stage and recording name from a bowling alley in Union, New Jersey?

4. In what city can you tour the Alamo?

5. Name the owner of Elvis Presley's famed and much visited home, Graceland.

6. In what country will you find the greatest number of Elvis Presley fan clubs?

7. What are the smallest and the largest of the 50 United States?

8. Name the first member of a presidential cabinet to become president. For Bragging Rights, what cabinet post did he hold?

9. Since 1933, this body of water has been cited in allegations as the dwelling place of a huge creature. Name it.

10. What famed Democrat was the presidential nominee of his party three times without being chosen to move to the White House?

Answers:

1. Philbrick's three lives were as an advertising salesman, a member of a group he later found out was controlled by undercover Communists, and an undercover FBI agent resulting in the indictment of several Communist agents.

2. The word pizza means pie. So pizza pie means pie pie. Thanks to the several Answer Man-ers who gave us this question.

3. The name adopted by the group was The Four Seasons, as in Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons.

4. The Alamo is in San Antonio, Texas.

5. The King's daughter, Lisa Marie, inherited the bulk of Elvis' possessions, including Graceland.

6. There are more Elvis fan clubs in Japan than in any other country.

7. The smallest state is Rhode Island; the largest is Alaska.

8. The first cabinet member to become president was Thomas Jefferson, who had been secretary of state before he became our third president.

9. Loch Ness in Scotland is reportedly the home of Nessie, the legendary Loch Ness Monster.

10. It was William Jennings Bryan. Lynchburg, Va.,
