Are you concerned about the Obese problem? Do you know the harmful effects of it, and the ways to fight it?

Obesity problem is generally inherited, and is a genetic problem. Therefore we can't prevent it, but can try to fight against it.

Also Obese problems may develop due to the hyposecretion of the Thyroxine hormone. We call this problem as Hypothyroidism. In this case, the body's metabolism rate decreases, and fat cannot be digested, which results in deposition of fat layers throughout the body.

yes very concerned.i used to be very heavy but it was due to having to take steriods,i was on those for almost a year and i gained a huge amount of weith,i stopped looking once i reached 175 lol but since then i lost down to 117.

oh hunny I gained like crazywhile on the steriods!and I was so sick at the time for about 4 months that I ddint even know I was gaining,then when I started getting better I realized it but I had no choice cause the steriods was helping to heal my lungs.

Obesity through illness or medicine is really a hard fate one cannot easiliy handle. But I think it is a misconception, that it is in the genes. It is more a sad fact, that some parents are complacent with their own obesity, and there for overfeed their children as well. Evil or Very Mad

The old idea a child had to eat well to become big and strong, and always had to eat up, even with force is still today in the heads of some parents.
And now, with all the fast food unhealthy eating is even easier.

I cannot understand, how some people can still be complacent with being fat and not care about their children better. - It has nothing to do with dicrimination against fat people - today the fact that obesity causes all kinds of illness, shortens the life etc. are too well known to just ignore them and state in all kinds of talk shows, that fat is beautiful, sexy, or whatever - do these people not think about getting older?
